About Our Coaches...
Meet our New Coach: Elijah Rockhold –
Elijah a student at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, studying English and International Politics. His aquatic life started when he joined his first competitive team in fifth grade. He swam club and high school, mainly swimming spring free and fly, with an occasional appearance in the 200 IM. After sophomore year of high school, he stopped swimming for the high school’s swim team, and started teaching lessons and lifeguarding. He has taught infants as young as 6 months old all the way through and up to 67 year olds; he has also lead fear of water classes, and has experience with everything in between. Elijah started coaching during his senior year of high school. Having coached all age groups, he enjoys watching swimmers grow into the activity. He has lifeguarded for pools, lakes, and most recently, the ocean in Ocean City, Maryland.
